Phone for your Granma or Grandpa – Vodafone 155

Vodafone launched new phone which as they claim is easy to use for people with limited dexterity, impaired vision or hearing difficulties. Phone has larger keypad, so it is easy to dial and type text messages. It comes with a dock, which I think is clever, it will not be lost around the house and will be charged most of the time.

Phone has special SOS button, you can assign a special number to it and it will be dialed when pressed and also text message will be sent to it.

I wonder how typing text looks like on this screen, I hope letters are big and clear, because there is no point of having large buttons, if screen is small or not clear and you can’t see what you are typing.

Specs are pretty basic and you don’t expect them to be. There is FM radio, calculator, alarm, vibrating alert, calendar – everything you would need in a basic phone.

Phone costs just £25 and supports 2G networks only.
