Sony BMG joins Nokia’s Comes With Music Service

Sony BMG officially joined Nokia’s yet to be launched service Comes With Music. Nokia’s service is planned to be launched in second half of 2008. Customers who buy Nokia’s handsets with this service enabled, will be able to download unlimited amount of music tracks during 1 year and will be able to keep tracks afterwards.

Nokia will be sharing profits with participating record companies, but details are not known at the moment. Nokia is confident that this service may generate up to $4 billion annual revenue and increase use of legitimate music.

Sony BMG Entertainment has artists like Beyonce, George Michael, Shakira, Aerosmith, Sean Kingston, Paul Potts and many others.

LG To Announce New Black Label Series Handset

Following LG Chocolate and LG Shine, LG will announce a third handset in series on 24th April. Handset will be announced in Europe first and then roll out to the rest of the world.

New handset is a slider, as LG press release says “boasting its smart technology with the latest and sophisticated features including the slimmest 5MP camera”.

This addition to LG’s fashion line will contain materials such as carbon fiber and tempered glass.

Product name will be revealed during product launch.

3.9G Network with 250Mbps downlink?

NTT DoCoMo in Japan has successfully tested network with downlink transmission rate of 250Mbps over a high-speed wireless 3.9G network also called as Super 3G system for mobile communications.

Results are impressive and step up from current HSDPA/HSUPA which we currently have in Europe. With download speeds like that, we are talking high definition movies streaming to your mobile device, smooth video calling, TV and other media rich applications running with no delays!

DoCoMo says that they will complete development of technologies for Super 3G (aka Long Term Evolution) and launch by end of 2009.

N95 Software Update Released - 21.0.016

Nokia released another update for N95 phones: 21.0.016.

Release contains improvements to standby-time, bluetooth interoperability, Windows Media Player support, SIM enhancements, Java enhancements and importantly Flash Lite 3, which will enable users to watch Flash videos. So now you can watch all those YouTube clips on the  move!

Sounds like a must have update, so if you are N95 user, fire up your Nokia Software Updater and update your device!
